All eyes are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first official statement after ‘Operation Sindoor’ on May 7, which he is yet to make. People across the country are eagerly waiting for a post or address by the PM, as reflected on various social media posts. Amid this anticipation, PM Modi took to his X handle on Friday to make his first post since May 6. He has made three posts on May 9, none of which pertain to Operation Sindoor. This has further increased curiosity and extended the wait for his official address on the situation. As he made his first post, people flooded comment section urging the Prime Minister’s response. The urgency has intensified after India thwarted Pakistan’s attempt to attack military stations at Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur by drone and missiles on Thursday.

In his first post, PM Modi extended congratulations to Robert Francis Prevost for being elected as the New Pope. He wrote on X, “I convey sincere felicitations and best wishes from the people of India to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. His leadership of the Catholic Church comes at a moment of profound significance in advancing the ideals of peace, harmony, solidarity and service. PM Modi’s second post is the remembrance of Maharana Pratap on his birth anniversary. He wrote on X, “Millions of salutes to the immortal warrior of the country Maharana Pratap on his birth anniversary. The courage and bravery he displayed to protect the self-respect of the motherland remains a guiding light for our heroes and heroines even today. His valiant life dedicated to Mother India will always inspire the countrymen.”

His third post is a tribute to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his Jayanti. PM Modi wrote on X, “Tributes to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his Jayanti. He is fondly remembered for shaping India’s literary and cultural soul. His works emphasised on humanism and at the same time ignited the spirit of nationalism among the people. His efforts towards education and learning, seen in how he nurtured Santiniketan, are also very inspiring.”

While PM Modi has not addressed the nation on ‘Operation Sindoor’ officially, he is continuously monitoring all the developments. He is holding review meetings and taking all the necessary steps to ensure national security.
