Andhra Pradesh education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh announced financial assistance and five acres of land to the family of Agniveer Mudhavath Murali Naik who lost his life in the line of duty during cross-border firing by the Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC).
Naik was injured during heavy shelling
Agniveer M Murali Naik was injured during heavy shelling from the Pakistan side on May 8. He was later taken to hospital for treatment but succumbed to injuries on the morning of May 9.
Nara Lokesh met the family members
Nara Lokesh met the family members of martyr Murali Naik and paid tribute to Naik. He announced that the government will provide Naik’s family 5-acre land, Rs 50 lakh, 300 yards of land for housing and a government job.

He wrote on X, “Our brave Jawans are our nation’s pride. This is the least that we can do for them. Martyr Murali Naik’s supreme sacrifice is a debt to the nation that we can never repay. Our government is committed to accord the highest respect to our soldiers and provide all necessary support to their families.”

Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu paid tribute
On May 9, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute to army jawan Murali Naik.
According to an official release from the TDP, Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of the young soldier from Ananthapuram district.
Naidu spoke with Murali’s parents, Jyotibai and Ram Naik, and assured them of the state government’s support.
He praised Murali’s invaluable service in the army over the past two years and called on everyone to stand united with patriotism and vigilance.
