Good News For Commuters! Shahberi Route Linking Greater Noida West To Ghaziabad To Open Soon After Road Widening Work News24 –
People are still waiting for the Shahberi route to reopen, which was closed on March 25 for widening work. This route links the Gaur City in Noida to the Crossing Republik in Ghaziabad. Initially, it was planned that the work would go on for 20 days.
As reported by Jagran, the work on the Shahberi road is partially completed and is likely to get completed witin a week. The work on the route from the Greater Noida West to the Crossing Republik has been completed. However, the work on the other lane is in it’s final stage.
As quoted by Jagran, Prerna Singh, ACEO of Greater Noida Authority, said, “The road widening work connecting Sector-4 of Greater Noida West to Crossing Republik in Ghaziabad will be completed within a week. This will resolve the traffic congestion issue in Shahberi. Drainage construction has also been done to address water discharge.”
The road starting from the Iteda roundabout in Greater Noida West was originally around 3 meters wide, leading to frequent traffic jams due to its single-lane design. To address this, the Greater Noida Authority began widening the approximately 1.5-kilometer-long Shahberi Road on March 25. The project includes constructing a durable RCC road with drainage on both sides, costing Rs 3 crore. Once finished, travel between Greater Noida West and Crossing Republik will be much more convenient.
