New York Times Says India’s Precision Strikes Caused Damage To Pakistani Military Facilities News24 –

India’s strike under ‘Operation Sindoor’ has been seen as a successful response. The New York Times approved that India had an edge by targeting the Pakistani military installation, inflicting massive damage to Pakistani military facilities.

India hit Pakistan’s military facilities and airfields

The NY Times reported that India hit Pakistan’s military facilities and airfields, as both the countries targeted each other’s defense capabilities. The High-resolution satellite images show clear damage to Pakistan’s facilities by Indian strikes.

Visuals showed clear damage

India targeted Pakistani airbases and conducted strikes with precision. The Bholari air base, which is located less than 100 miles from the Pakistani port city of Karachi, India’s defense officials said they had hit an aircraft hangar with a precision strike. The visuals showed clear damage to what looks like a hangar.

The NYT also reported how the Nur Khan air base, within a roughly 15-mile range of both the Pakistani Army’s headquarters and the office of the country’s prime minister and a short distance from the unit that oversees and protects Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, was targeted by the Indian Armed Forces which is a sensitive one.

India targeted runways of Pak air bases

The Indian Armed Forces already said that it had particularly targeted the runways of Pakistan’s important air bases. The NYT said the satellite images showed the damage. On May 10, Pakistan issued a notice for Rahim Yar Khan air base saying that the runway was unavailable for operations, it said in its report.

The Indian army struck the Sargodha air base in the similar way as it had used precision weapons to strike two sections of the runway, the NYT report said.

Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 to strike multiple terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir after a deadly attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam last month in which 26 tourists were killed.

In addition to eliminating over 100 terrorists, the strikes targeted 11 Air bases inside Pakistan and inflicted significant damage on their military capabilities. The air, land and sea operations were carried out with calibrated restraint, with an emphasis on minimising civilian casualties.
