Helicopter services from Katra to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhavan resumed after the services were halted due to tensions between India and Pakistan.

This service was halted due to the Indo-Pak border tensions. The service is finally back on track after seven days of suspension. Shrine board officials noted an increase in pilgrim turnout and confirmed that the battery-operated car service is functioning as well. Since January, over 3 million devotees have visited the shrine, with authorities anticipating a further rise in numbers.

32 airports, of which some are also at the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, have resumed operations on May 12 at the Centre after being temporarily closed down upon the escalation of military conflict with Pakistan.
