In a tragic incident, a man died of a heart attack during wedding rituals in Karnataka’s Jamkhandi town of Bagalkot. The incident took place just after the man tied “Mangalsutra” around the bride’s neck. The incident left the family members and relatives in a state of shock. 

The groom experienced chest pain

According to an NDTV report, a witness at the wedding said that the groom, Pravin, experienced chest pain a few minutes after tying “Mangalsutra”, and collapsed on the ground. 

The groom was taken to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police said the body has been sent for postmortem. 

Woman suddenly collapsed and passed away while dancing

In a similar incident, a 23-year-old woman suddenly collapsed and passed away while dancing at her cousin sister’s wedding function in Vidisha in February. The woman has been identified as Parinita Jain, a native of MP’s Indore city. 

Family memberst tried to revive her through CPR

A viral video circulating on social media captured the moment when she suddenly collapsed on the stage while dancing. Immediately after she fell, family members who were present at the spot tried to revive her through CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). She was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. As per reports, Parinita was a MBA graduate who resided with her parents in South Tukoganj, Indore.

Alarming trend of sudden heart attacks

The recent tragedy highlights the growing incidents of cardiac arrests during festive activities across India. A 15-year-old boy died due to heart attack while he was playing cricket in Agar-Malwa district in Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, a 73-year-old man suffered a cardiac arrest while dancing at a yoga event in Indore city. Such incidents highlights an alarming trend of sudden heart attacks in recent days.
