This New Expressway Will Connect Agra To Bareilly In Just 2.5 Hours News24 –

There are several proposed expressway projects in Uttar Pradesh. One such project is the Agra-Bareilly Expressway. This project will boost tourism in the state and will make travel easier for commuters. The length of this route will be 228 km.

This expressway will benefit around 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Currently, it takes 5 hours to reach Bareilly from Agra, but once this route gets open to the public, it will take 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the journey. The NHAI is constructing a four-lane highway from Mathura (afterwards) to Bareilly at an expense of Rs 7,700 crore. It is under construction in four different packages.

In the first bulb, PNC is responsible for Hathras; GR Infra Private Limited for Hathras to Kasganj; Kasganj to Badaun is handled by Kasganj to Badaun is handled by Kasganj to Badaun is handled by Kasganj to Badaun is handled by Kasganj to Badaun is handled by Dhariwal Construction Private Limited.

As part of the Agra-Bareilly corridor project, significant infrastructure is being developed to enhance local connectivity and ease of transportation. The corridor will feature 20 flyovers, 26 underpasses, 6 railway overbridges, and 5 bridges. These additions will greatly benefit nearby villages. One of the bridges has already been completed at Brahman Ghat in Mathura over the Yamuna River, and another is planned for Soron over the Ganga River.

The corridor will also enable more people to visit Nainital, which should increase tourism there. It ensures that it will now be easier for people living in neighboring districts to go from Bareilly to Nainital and from Hathras to Bareilly and Mathura.
Sanjay Verma, Project Director for NHAI, said that the Mathura-Bareilly corridor will be completed by 2027. Civil works are being executed by four different parties in four smaller areas. By June, it is scheduled for the road leading up to Hathras to be finished. Following its completion, travel time between Agra and Bareilly will be reduced to just two and a half hours, and is believed to help many districts. The project is likely to cost ₹7,700 crore and is expected to be fully finished within the next two years.
