West Bengal BJP chief and Union minister Sukanta Majumdar on Monday said the selection of MPs is the prime minister’s call, and the problem with the TMC is that it has never differentiated between the government and the party.
Sukanta Majumdar said, “Whenever the PM sends a team, selection of MPs is the prerogative of the PM…This is not a political team, it is a team where people have been selected irrespective of the political party they belong to…The problem with the TMC is that it has never differentiated between the government and the party. It considers the government, the party, and the party, the government. This doesn’t work in India. Even DMK, which is our rival, is sending its representatives. Only the TMC is making such petty statements.”
