In a latest development following the arrest of Jyoti Malhotra, a handwritten note has been recovered from her residence. It is suggested that the note found in a diary, was written by her when police had taken Jyoti to her home as part of the ongoing investigation. The short message sheds light on her state of mind during the time of police custody. Jyoti Malhotra, a Haryana-based YouTuber, is in police custody on charges of sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen. She was arrested on Sunday by the Haryana Police.
Here’s What The Note Says
In her message, she affirms that she will be back soon and urges a woman named Savita to take care of the house in her absence.
The note written by Jyoti read as: “Savita ko kehna fruits la de, ghar ka khayal rakhe, main jaldi aa jaungi.” This translate to “Tell Savita to bring some fruits. Take care of the house. I’ll be back soon.” Along with this message, name of some medicines are also mentioned. “Dawai, #Rantop D 1month #gupta doctor ki Dawai 1month,” read the note further. The note ends with “Love you Khush Mush.”
Meanwhile, an investigation in her case is underway. Earlier, Shashank Kumar Sawan, Superintendent of Police (SP) Hisar, stated that Jyoti was being developed as an asset and had maintained ties with other YouTube influencers and Pakistani nationals. Moreover, it has come to light that she was in Pakistan before the Pahalgam attack. SP Hisar added that the investigation is ongoing to establish any possible linkages between her visit and the terror attack.
During the preliminary investigation, Jyoti told the police that she went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish.
