Woman’s Throat Slit By Unidentified Attacker Just 50 Meters From Home News24 –

A 27-year-old woman was brutally murdered late Sunday night in Ulwe Sector-5 after an unknown attacker slit her throat on a public road. The victim, identified as Alvina Kishorsingh, also known as Alvina Adamli Khan, resided in Vijay Laxmi Tower, Ulwe, with her husband, Kishorsingh Rajput.

For the last four years, the married couple ran their medical store from the same neighborhood. While Rajput earned a D Pharm degree and Khan graduated with a B Pharm, they worked shoulder to shoulder operating the pharmacy. Police said that Khan had family in Mumbai and stayed with them until Sunday evening, when she was on her way home. After getting out of the main road near Sector-5, she quickly headed the 50 meter distance towards her house. “An unidentified man allegedly followed her and approached her next to Radiance Splendor Building, where he fatally cut her throat with a sharp object,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Port Zone) Vishal Nehul added. Those present told the police that she suddenly fell there, suffering severe wounds. He left the area as soon as the attack happened. Khan’s death happened quickly after the incident, with locals attempting to help, the police said.

As soon as the information was available, the police from Ulwe came and took possession of the body. According to those nearby, the attacker was hiding his face with a handkerchief during the incident. Authorities have reported the incident as murder and are checking TV footage to locate the person responsible. Police said the couple were married with love but had discussed a divorce. The police are keeping a male friend who was close to the deceased for additional questioning.
