Monsoon Nears Kerala; Heavy Rainfall Alert For Goa, Gujarat, Kerala And Others News24 –


IMD Weather LIVE Updates: States such as Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala are set to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next 6 to 7 days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday afternoon announcing the possibility of extremely heavy downpour over Goa from 22nd to 24th May. Meanwhile, conditions are likely to become favourable for Monsoon onset over Kerala during the next 2-3 days.

The pre-monsoon showers continue to sweep several cities, disrupting traffic and affecting daily life. Notably, more rain is on the cards for Assam & Meghalaya from 23rd -27th May; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 23rd-25th; Arunachal Pradesh during 23rd-26th May; Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh on 23rd; Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 23rd-26th, Vidarbha on 24th; Odisha on 27th & 28th May, 2025; Uttarakhand on 23th & 24th May.
