A depression over Bangladesh moved north-northeast and weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area over Meghalaya and nearby areas by 5:30 PM on May 30. It further weakened into a low-pressure area over northeast Assam by 5:30 am and became less marked by 8:30 AM on May 31, 2025. However, a cyclonic circulation remains over Arunachal Pradesh in the lower atmosphere. This upper air cyclonic circulation is expected to bring heavy rainfall in the state and neighbouring region.

A western disturbance, appearing as a cyclonic circulation, continues to prevail over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir at an altitude between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
