BJP Functionary Arrested For Allegedly Making Her Daughter Raped By Boyfriend And Associate In Haridwar News24 –

A Haridwar-BJP functionary who previously held leadership positions in the party’s district unit was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly directing her boyfriend and his accomplice to rape her 13-year-old daughter. The accused boyfriend (33) was also arrested and is now in jail, while his accomplice (30s) is still on the loose. According to police, the woman, who had been living away from her husband following a dispute a few months prior, supposedly compelled her daughter to drink alcohol so that the two men could rape the girl.

“SHO of the concerned police station said, The first incident of gang-rape was reported in January, and this particular girl was raped with her mother present in the car. This continued until march when the three accused took the victim and her mother to Agra and Vrindavan. “The girl was gang raped approximately eight times, and she’s always with her mother during the repeated assaults,” said the officer.

The minor was also raped in Haridwar at a hotel that is leased in her mother’s or her boyfriend’s name, the police said. They had allegedly threatened to kill the girl’s father if she spoke of any of their allegations.”

After suffering for months of continual attack and the pain that accompanies them, the survivor informed her father that she had been violently sexually assaulted. He filed a complaint on Tuesday and after an initial inquiry, an FIR was registered on Wednesday under BNS sections 70 (2) (gang rape), 351 (3) (criminal intimidation), 3(5) (criminal act by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and applicable sections of the Posco Act for the three accused.

Haridwar SSP Pramendra Dobal told TOI, “A medical examination of the girl confirmed sexual assault after which the woman and her boyfriend were arrested. The girl’s mother forced her into having physical relations with the men by telling her that it is a normal part of moving ahead in life.

“The girl’s statement has been recorded before a magistrate and police have formed a team to arrest the third accused. (The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault).
