Drunk Man Rapes 5-Year-Old In Ranchi After Luring Her From Wedding Reception With Mango News24 –

Ranchi, Jharkhand: In a shocking incident that has crossed all boundaries of humanity, a man allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl during a marriage reception at Chanho village. The incident reportedly unfolded in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on Friday evening when the accused lured the child with a mango. According to the Police, the accused, identified as a 25-year-old, was beaten up by locals, following which he was arrested.

The Accused Was In “Inebriated Condition“

Preliminary investigation revealed that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of committing the crime. Meanwhile, Chanho PS in charge, Chandan Kumar Gupta, told the news agency PTI that the victim’s medical examination was conducted on Friday night. The accused is scheduled to be presented before the court of the judicial magistrate today. Further details are awaited.

FIR Registered Against 25-Year-Old Accused

A First Information Report (FIR) had been filed at the Chanho Police Station. Meanwhile, the accused has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). It has been learnt that both the victim and the accused hail from the same village. While attending a marriage reception, he lured the minor girl with a mango and took her to a garden where he raped her.
