Puri Traffic Alert! Diversions Announced For Devasnana Purnima 2025 On June 11 – Check Affected Routes, Parking Facilities And More News24 –

Puri Traffic Advisory: Puri Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory on Sunday ahead of Devasnana Purnima on June 11, 2025. Preparations are in full swing as a large number of devotees are expected to arrive to witness the divine ritual of the Lord’s bathing on Snana Yatra. The advisory outlines several specific routes and parking zones to ensure smooth traffic flow during the significant event. According to the advisory, restrictions will be in place for four-wheelers to avoid traffic congestion.

Traffic Diversion Points

1. From Brahmagiri Side: Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) coming from the Brahmagiri side will take a right turn at Mangalaghata towards Sterling Chhak. They can then move to Beach Road up to Light House Chhak to park their vehicles at Yatrika.

NOTE: Vehicles will return via the same route.

2. From Bhubaneswar Side: LMVs approaching from the Bhubaneswar side will proceed to the parking area at Jail Road Parking & Saradhabli Open ground via-Batagaon, Charinala, Atharnala Kumbharapada PS, Medical Chhaka & Badasankha. Once the parking spaces are filled up, they will be diverted to Yatrika Parking, Digabareni Parking, Blue Flag Beach Parking/Neelachal Ashok Parking.

3. From Konark Side: Light Motor Vehicles heading from Konark side must be routed to the designated parking areas at Saradhabli Open ground via Baidas Nagar, Toshali Sands Chhaka, Grid Station Chhaka, Balighat Chhak, Sidhhamahaveer Chhak & Matiapada Chhak. All vehicles left will be diverted to Talabania Parking & ITI Parking via Grid Station Chhak & Bhudan Chhak and return via the same route.

Traffic Plan For Two-Wheelers

  • Motor Cycles can access the Grand road via Atharnala, Banamber Chhak, Kumbharapada PS, Hospital Chhaka. Parking facility is available at the Municipality Market complex on first come first-served basis.
  • After the Municipality Market complex parking spaces are filled, M/Cs will be routed to Old Jagannath Ballav Parking area.

Restrictions And Shuttle Service For Three-Wheelers

  • Three-wheelers approaching from Talabania will be directed to Hospital Chhak via Water Works Road, Odisha Bakery, Ram Mandir, Ghoda Bazar, and Red Cross Road. After dropping the passenger, they will return via the same route.
  • Three wheelers coming from Talabania towards Sea beach side can access Town Hall Chhaka via Penthakata chhaka, CT Road, Youth Hostel, Urban Hata, Zilla School and SCS College Chhaka.
    Three wheelers are restricted entry around the temple and towards Lion’s gate via Solakhia Baragachha Chhaka in Balisahi road; Towards North gate from Biseswari Temple; Towards Lion’s Gate from Mochi sahi Chhaka and Brusav Chhaka in Lokanath Road.
