Jammu Police, South Zone, Arrest Four Accused In Gangyal Firing Case; Investigation Progresses Under FIR No. 68/2025 News24 –

In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation of the Gangyal firing incident, Jammu Police, South Zone, has arrested four accused involved in the case registered under FIR No. 68/2025 U/S 109, 111, 191(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and 3/25 Arms Act at Police Station Gangyal.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
1. Surinder Singh S/O Jaswant Singh, R/O Dashmesh Nagar
2. Harjot Singh @ Anda S/O Jaswant Singh, R/O Dashmesh Nagar
3. Raman Kumar S/O Raj Kumar, R/O 92/6 Model Town, Gangyal
4. Mohd Ashraf S/o. Mohd Hussain R/o Karyani Talab Narwal, Jammu.
The arrests follow sustained efforts by the police team of PS Gangyal under the close supervision of SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh–JKPS, SP City South, Ajay Sharma–JKPS, and SDPO South, Sunil Singh Jasrotia. These individuals were found to be actively involved in the criminal conspiracy that led to the recent firing incident in which two people sustained injuries.
The accused have a criminal background and are known to have links to organised criminal activities in the region. Their arrest marks a crucial step in unearthing the broader network associated with the incident. Further investigation is underway to trace additional conspirators and uncover the full scope of the gang’s operations.
