Keeping in mind the frequent traffic jams in the Shahberi area of Greater Noida West, the Greater Noida Authority has prepared a new alternative plan called ‘Plan B’. Under this, 6 illegal cuts have been closed so far. Along with this, the process of removing illegally constructed ramps has also started, and survey work is going on for this. Soon, the work of demolishing these ramps will also start. It is expected that after the full implementation of the plan, Shahberi will get relief from the problem of traffic jams.
However, 5 illegal cuts are still open in Shahberi. Using these cuts, people drive from the wrong side, which increases the possibility of accidents and obstructs traffic. At present, they have been kept open on the demand of local residents, but the authority says that these will also be closed if necessary.
Length And Challenges Of Shahberi Marg
The Shahberi Marg stretching from Iteda intersection to the crossing is about one and a half kilometers long. This road has been widened, but some electric poles are still standing in the middle of the road, which obstruct traffic. The process of removing these poles has been started. As soon as these poles and illegal ramps are removed, there is a possibility of getting complete relief from the traffic problem.
Reaction Of Authority Officer Prerna Singh
Aceo Prerna Singh of Greater Noida Authority said that the widening work of this road connecting Ghaziabad and Greater Noida has been completed. Due to this, the traffic situation has improved compared to before. The problems that still remain will also be resolved soon.
