Delhi-Bound Air India Flight Makes Mid-Air U-Turn After Pilot Reports Technical Snag News24 –


An Air India flight AI 315 from Hong Kong to Delhi was forced to return to its origin after the pilot suspected a technical issue mid-air on Monday. Reportedly, the flight, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had departed for the national capital from Hong Kong.

In another incident, Saudia Airlines plane carrying 250 Hajj pilgrims encountered a technical glitch upon its arrival at Lucknow Airport on Sunday. The flight faced snag with its landing gear. Smoke and sparks were seen coming from a wheel after it landed, stated the airport officials. The flight SV 3112, had departed from Jeddah at 10.45 pm on Saturday and landed at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow around 6.30 am on Sunday.

Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials were immediately alerted by the pilot and the plane was pushed back and moved to the taxiway. All the passengers were inside the aircraft during the landing and were evacuated safely. The spark was doused off by the emergency response team within 20 minutes.
