Pre-Monsoon Rain Brings Relief To Punjab-Haryana; Monsoon Expected To Arrive By June End News24 –


The series of rains has started in Punjab and Haryana for the next five days, and the monsoon will hit Haryana on June 28. This pre-monsoon rain has brought relief to the people of the state from the scorching heat. A big change has been seen in the weather of Haryana in mid-June. Rain has started in many districts of the state, like Hisar, Rewari, Jind, Kurukshetra, Narnaul, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, Nuh, Sirsa, Kaithal, and Charkhi Dadri. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour for the next four days.

At present, a Western Disturbance is active in Haryana, due to which this change in weather may persist until June 19. While the temperature was around 45 degrees Celsius a day ago, it has now dropped below 40 degrees, with a recorded decline of 5 to 10 degrees.

Pre-monsoon winds are expected to start blowing from June 19, which may lead to an increase in humidity and a further drop in temperature. It is estimated that the monsoon will enter Haryana on June 28.

Light to moderate rain and strong winds are expected in many areas of Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and moderate rain in some parts of Sangrur, Barnala, Dhuri, Malerkotla, and Patiala.

At the same time, rainfall is expected in Nabha, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, Bassi Pathana, Khanna, Payal, Khamano, Ludhiana East, Samrala, Raikot, and Jagraon. Apart from this, light rain is expected in some parts of Patiala, Nabha, and Sangrur district, including Sunam, Tapa, Patran, Samana, and Rajpura.

Similar weather can also be seen in areas like Dera Bassi, Mohali, Chandigarh, Kharar, Chamkaur Sahib, Rupnagar, Phillaur, Nakodar, Phagwara, Balachaur, Nawanshahr, Anandpur Sahib, Garhshankar, and Nangal.
