‘May He Be Blessed With Long Life,’ Says PM Modi; Wishes Pour In As The Congress Leader Turns 55 News24 –

As India marks the 55th birthday of Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament and India’s foremost political voice, the time is here to applaud the path that defined him not only by politics and legacy, but by education as well.

Behind his charming demeanour and thoughtful leadership lies a foundation built on global exposure, rigorous academics, and a deep understanding of development and governance. Rahul Gandhi’s educational path is an example of quiet excellence, purposeful choices, and a commitment to learning beyond borders.

The academic life of Rahul Gandhi began in some of India’s finest educational institutions. Rahul attended St. Columba’s School in Delhi and later at the Doon School in Dehradun, an institution known for providing some of India’s finest minds, including Rahul’s father, Rajiv Gandhi.

Motivated by a need for further studies and international exposure, Rahul Gandhi left India for further studies. Rahul Gandhi graduated from Rollins College, Florida, USA in 1994 with a Bachelor in Liberal Arts. Officially, this has been certified by Rollins College through their response to questions on his educational records, confirming that Rahul Gandhi was a bright student and was graduated successfully.

He continued his studies at one of the world’s best universities, the University of Cambridge, and graduated with a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Development Studies from Trinity College in 1995. The University of Cambridge has formally certified his qualification.

Rahul Gandhi’s education is not just about institutions or credentials, it is about commitment to understand complex global and local issues. The M.Phil. programme in Development Studies at Cambridge focuses on economic growth, poverty alleviation, policy design, and sustainable development areas that align closely with many of Rahul Gandhi’s public policy stances today.

Over the years, in parliament and in rallies, his appeal to structural inequality, decentralised government, and inclusive growth comes from the years of learning.

Rahul Gandhi is 55 today, and we are celebrating not only his political triumph but also the journey of the intellect that guides his leadership. His learning suggests difference, depth, and vision, which shaped him as the leader he is now.

PM Modi also wished him on his X account, he wrote,”Birthday greetings to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life.”

MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu also extended his warm wishes through a post on X, he posted, “Warm birthday wishes to my brother-in-ideals, Rahul Gandhi, bound not by blood, but by thought, vision, and purpose. May you continue to stand firm and lead with courage. In our march towards a brighter India, victory shall be ours.”
