Raj Kushwaha’s Grandmother Dies Of Heart Attack Amid Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Probe News24 –

The family of Raj Kushwaha, the main suspect in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, reported that his elderly grandmother died of a heart attack on Wednesday. Ram Lalli, Raj’s grandmother, was 74 years old and died at her family home in Rampur village, Gazipur in Fatehpur district beginning with Raj’s grandmother, Ram Lalli, reported her family.

Her husband, Darbari Singh, told reporters that Ram Lalli had been defending her grandson Raj since he was named in Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder as the main accused. Ram was claiming that Raj was innocent and was really a victim of the murder case in Meghalaya. Singh told the media that his grandmother was upset, and Raj had been falsely implicated.

About a week ago, Ram Lalli had come before the media and defended her grandson. “Raj never had an affair with anyone. Sonam got her husband killed and is dragging Raj into this”, Ram Lalli had said.

She alleged that powerful people were involved in the case and “they can do anything”. Singh said Raj was meek and dutiful, having the responsibility of the family on him since his father died during the (Covid) pandemic. Raj’s father moved to Indore around 15 years back and started a fruits’ business as the family was going through a financial crisis.

When the family’s condition improved, Raj also moved to Indore with his mother and two sisters around 10 years back. Police officials refused to comment on the issue because it is a case of another state. Raj worked as an accountant in the furniture sheet unit of Sonam’s family, a resident of Govind Nagar Kharcha in Indore being a class 12 pass-out.

Raghuvanshi wed Sonam on May 11 and they went to Meghalaya on May 20. Raghuvanshi went missing three days later, and his mutilated body was located in a gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district on June 2.

Sonam surrendered before the police in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh on June 8 while Kushwaha and the others were arrested from various locations in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. According to police, Sonam Raghuvanshi allegedly plotted to kill her husband Raja Raghuvanshi on their honeymoon.
