Food Poisoning At Picnic In Madhya Pradesh, Over 12 People Hospitalised News24 –


Viral Video: In a recent shocking incident reported from Madhya Pradesh, over a dozen people were hospitalized after consuming puris made from desi ghee. According to reports, the people from Sahai village in Panna district went to celebrate a picnic in Ajaygarh fort when they suddenly started vomiting. Shortly after, they were rushed to a nearby hospital by a few locals.

Pure Ghee Was ‘Adulterated’

The Food Department reached the Ajaygarh Government Hospital upon receiving information. Preliminary investigation revealed that the ghee used to cook puris was adulterated.

Villagers Complain Of Vomiting And Diarrhea

Among the affected individuals were children and women. They were admitted to the local hospital following reports of vomiting and diarrhea.

Investigation Underway

On receiving the information, the team of the Food Department reached the spot and collected samples of the ghee used in the food and sent it for testing. In the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the ghee is adulterated. The administration has taken the matter seriously and has said that action will be taken against those selling adulterated food items, and sampling action is also being taken at the shop from where the ghee was taken.
