The Jharkhand police said a 25-year-old man allegedly pushed his wife out of a moving train in the state on Friday. The incident took place between Bhurkunda and Patratu railway stations.
Woman fortunately survives fall
According to PTI, a police officer said the woman luckily survived and is undergoing treatment at RIMS in Ranchi.
The officer said the woman was travelling to Varanasi along with her husband. The couple had boarded the Varanasi Express from Barkakana. The woman sustained injuries after falling into a water-filled ditch.
She was referred to RIMS
She was admitted to a government hospital by the Government Railway Police (GRP), and later referred to the Ranchi Institute of Medical Sciences.
The woman alleged that her husband pushed her out of the moving train in a bid to make it look like an accident. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
UP: One dead, six injured as bus rams into truck
In another incident, One person died and six others were injured when a speeding bus rammed into a truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Fatehabad area, according to an official. The incident took place on Friday morning.
As per the initial information, the bus driver died on the spot, and the other six passengers injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The deceased has not yet been identified.
The police have registered a case and initiated a further probe to determine the exact cause of the crash.
