This meeting has taken place at a time when just a day before, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar had submitted his resignation to the President citing health reasons. He had submitted this resignation on the evening of the first day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, which was accepted by the President today.
