Ghaziabad Man Used Doctored Photo With PM Modi To Pose As Ambassador, Dupes People News24 –

A Ghaziabad resident was operating under a deceptive identity as an ambassador of micronations to dupe people out of money and run a money laundering racket. According to the Noida unit of UP STF, the man used fake number plates and parked elite vehicles outside his home to pose as a consul and ambassador of several micronations. Beyond the luxurious cars with forged number plates, Harsh Vardhan Jain also used an edited photo of himself with Prime Minister Modi to further enhance the impression that he was a high-profile leader.

Officials investigating the matter stated that the accused had used this fabricated affluent persona to support a Hawala racket operating through shell companies. He reportedly convinced people that he was a diplomatic representative of countries such as West Arctica, Seborga, Poulvia, and Ladonia, duping victims by promising fake jobs in foreign nations.

The Special Force further revealed that he worked as a broker, primarily offering overseas job placements while simultaneously running his Hawala network. Authorities also discovered that Jain had connections with global arms dealers, including Adnan Khashoggi, dating back to 2011. A case had already been filed against him after a satellite phone was found at his residence in Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad.

Adnan Khashoggi, with whom the accused allegedly had ties, was a Saudi businessman known as a key intermediary in arms deals between Western defense contractors and Middle Eastern governments, including Saudi Arabia.
