Six Dead, Ten Injured In Tragic Mine Collapse At Satyakrishna News24 –

At least six workers were killed, and 10 others were seriously injured when a huge rock collapsed at Satyakrishna Granite Mine near Ballikurava in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
 
According to the police, 16 workers were present in the mine when the rock collapsed. Six workers died on the spot in the accident, while the others sustained injuries. The four bodies of the deceased were immediately removed from the debris.

Rescue operations are underway to retrieve two other bodies buried under the debris. The injured have been sent to Narasaraopet Government Hospital, and their condition is said to be critical. 

Bapatla SP Tushar Dudi inspected the spot and ordered to complete the rescue operations expeditiously. The deceased workers have been identified as residents of Odisha. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep concern over the accident and sought full details from the officials. He directed the officials to offer the best treatment to the injured and ordered a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident.
