Zo Inspiration Foundation, a locally driven non-profit born during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, has emerged as one of Mizoram’s most trusted movements of compassion and service. Founded on June 7, 2020, by Mr. Emmanuel Thangrosanga, the foundation began with a small group of friends delivering food and medicine to families in distress. It has started with a small act of kindness and rapidly turned into an inspiring public movement. The foundation is entirely built for community support and goodwill.
In the small span of five years, Zo Inspiration Foundation has transformed the lives of around 1200 individuals all over Mizoram. From providing urgent medical aid to critically ill patients, sponsoring the education of underprivileged children, and constructing homes for widows and orphans, the foundation has become a ray of hope for the struggling families. Till date, it has generated around ₹3.48 crore by public contributions, utilising each penny directly into welfare programs.
The Foundation’s prime motive is to elevate the conditions in livelihood, health, education, shelter and food security. From sponsoring across 50 students under its Free Education Programs to supporting more than 1200 patients and also building 19 homes for the needy, they have supported the community in every possible way. There are initiatives like Midnight Meals & Drug Outreach, which have supported youth in fighting addictions. Also, the seasonal activities like the Christmas Charity Ride helped in delivering essentials to villages with the participation of Mizoram’s Chief Minister.
Zo Inspiration Foundation is known for its dedication and transparency, and has received plenty of awards like the Special Honour of Golden Heart 2024, Rotary Vocational Excellence Award and more. It has also extended its wings and launched the official website and MIS platform for the public to get a complete overview of their work, like donation records and program details.
Founder and Director Emmanuel Thangrosanga, who left his teaching career to serve full-time, reflects on the journey: “We cannot help everyone, but if even one life is transformed, one child finds safety, or one patient receives healing, then our mission is fulfilled. Zo Inspiration Foundation belongs to the people; it is their faith and generosity that keep us going.”
The foundation is completely committed to its vision of transforming Mizoram with its upcoming projects, which include winter relief distribution, housing for homeless families and educational sponsorships. They are not leaving any stone unturned to provide dignity, hope and abundance of opportunities to every person of the state.
