Tejashwi Yadav Urges Chirag Paswan ‘To Marry’; Rahul Gandhi Grins, Quips ‘Me Too..’

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, known for his sharp political critiques, is seen as the next CM of Bihar by his party chief and workers. He recently grabbed attention with a lighthearted moment shared with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a Bihar rally. When asked about remarks by LJP chief Chirag Paswan, who called him a “hanger-on” of Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi avoided confrontation. Instead, he gave playful personal advice. Tejashwi smiled and said, “Chirag Paswan ko salah denge ki wo ab shaadi kar lein wo mere bade bhai hain” (He is our elder brother. I would definitely advise him to get married quickly). His light-hearted comment made the audience laugh. It shifted the focus from political arguments to a more personal and relatable topic.

Rahul Gandhi immediately responded, “Ye to mere upar bhi applicable hota hai” (This applies to me as well). To this, Tejashwi quipped, “Wo to papa (Lalu Yadav) kab se keh rahe hain aapko” (That’s what my father, Lalu Yadav, has been telling you for a long time).

They will release a common manifesto soon. “The INDIA bloc will soon come out with a common manifesto for the Bihar assembly polls. All constituents of the opposition alliance are working unitedly, both ideologically and politically, and the results would be fruitful,” he said.

Voter Adhikar Yatra

Earlier that day, Gandhi and Yadav rode a bullet bike during their 16-day ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Purnia. Crowds gathered along the streets in Araria to see them. The 1,300-km march started on August 17 from Sasaram. It will cover more than 20 districts and end with a rally in Patna on September 1.
