A Telangana man was caught attempting to dispose of various dismembered body parts of his wife in the suburbs. Police said the murder took place in Balaji Hills, which is a Hyderabadi suburb of Medipally. Mahendra and Swathi, both from Kamareddyguda, in the Vikarabad district had previously met, fell in love, married, and settled into Balaji Hills previously.
Police confirm, shortly after 4:30 pm on Saturday, that Mahendra killed either Swathi, or also known as Swathi, and then chopped up the body and then disposed of some of the body. Later on, he contacted his sister about his wife being missing. The sister felt suspicious and contacted a family member, who took him to the police station.

He had again attempted to report his wife missing, but eventually admitted that he murdered her during the police interrogation. DCP (Malkajgiri Zone) P V Padmaja said. Mahender has been arrested and is now in custody. He is being interrogated by police.
The police said Mahender had already disposed of her head, hands, and legs in the Musi River but divers have been unsuccessful locating the body parts. Other body parts, that had been disposed of previously, were confirmed to be the head, arms, and legs of his wife, and those previous disposals were in the Musi river. The torso of the woman is believed to still be located in his house according to police. The woman, named Swathi, was only 21 years old and 5 months pregnant.
“We have collected forensic evidence. Only the lady’s torso was found. We will conduct a DNA test to identify the deceased,” said the officer. “We have registered a case under the BNS sections. Fast-track investigation and trial will ensue,” she added.
