In an unusual incident, a man climbed an electricity tower allegedly demanding to marry his sister-in-law in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj. The high-voltage drama unfolded after his sister-in-law refused his proposal.

As per a report published by NDTV, the man, Raj Saxena, got married in 2010, but his wife died a year later due to a disease. Later, Raj married her sister.

A couple of years later, he fell in love with his sister-in-law and began demanding to marry her.

On August 28, he told his wife about his feelings for her sister, stating that he wanted to marry her. When Raj’s sister-in-law declined his proposal, he reprised a scene from the film ‘Sholay.’ He climbed an electricity tower while reiterating his demand to marry her.

The police rushed to the spot and persuaded the man to come down with assurances that his demand would be considered. It took nearly seven hours for the cops to convince him.
