Cloudburst In J&K’s Ramban Leaves 3 Dead And Several Missing; NH-44 Shut Amid Widespread Rain Damage News24 –


At least three people have lost their lives while five are reported missing in a massive cloudburst incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district today. Many houses have been damaged due to this natural disaster.

Ramban, located about 136 km from Srinagar, has been receiving heavy rainfall for the past few days. This rain has affected several important roads, including the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).

Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma told news agency ANI, “Several roads were damaged due to the rain in the past few days. The NH-44 is closed. It might open this evening or by tomorrow morning… In Poonch, there was significant damage due to rainfall…”
