National Lok Adalat 2025: The third National Lok Adalat for 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, September 13. This date is uniform across the country. The Lok Adalat will address a variety of cases including criminal compoundable offences, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, matrimonial disputes, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), service matters concerning pay, allowances, and retirement benefits, revenue cases, and other civil cases such as rent disputes, easementary rights, injunction suits, and specific performance suits.
Lok Adalat is organised to provide relief to the people. Since it is organized for the general public, it is also known as Jan Adalat. In this court, you can settle pending legal and disputes with mutual consent. Along with this, the amount of traffic challan can also be reduced here. Apart from this, many cases including family matters like property acquisition, financial and marital issues will be settled in Lok Adalat.
