Delhi: BJP Worker Injured in Police Lathicharge Dies in Ghazipur

A scuffle that broke out in Ghazipur on 9th September led to police officials allegedly beating a BJP worker who were staging a protest Amid the escalation and outrage over the incident, the designated ACP of the area has taken strict action against the police personnel involved.

Six police personnel, including the SHO of Nonhara, have been suspended. Among them are one SHO, one Sub-Inspector (SI), one Head Constable, and three Constables. Additionally, two SIs and three Constables who were present at the police outpost during the incident have also been punished.

According to updates, the case will be investigated by a Magistrate. The BJP workers were reportedly staging a protest at the police station when they were attacked. One of the protestors, identified as Siyaram, succumbed to his injuries and died on 11th September.

Currently, Siyaram’s body has been taken for postmortem examination.
