Crackdown On PFI Continues – NIA Arrests Popular Front of India Bihar State President Mehboob Alam Nadvi News24 –
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested Popular Front of India (PFI) Bihar state president Mehboob Alam alias Mehboob Alam Nadvi. The arrest is related to the 2022 Phulwari Sharif criminal conspiracy case, which is being considered a serious threat to the security and law and order of the country.
Mehboob Alam is a resident of the Hasanganj area of Katihar district of Bihar. He was arrested in Kishanganj. So far, 19 persons have been arrested in this case, and a charge sheet has also been filed against them. Initially, the local police had registered an FIR against 26 people in this case.

NIA investigation has revealed that PFI members were involved in illegal and anti-national activities. Their aim was to spread hatred among the people in the name of religion and create an atmosphere of fear. The investigation also revealed that PFI had a secret document named “India 2047 – Towards Rule of Islam in India”, which revealed plans to establish Islamic rule in India. The document was seized from Ahmed Palace in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, on 11 July 2022.
The investigation also revealed that Mehboob Alam was playing an active role in this conspiracy. He used to recruit members, organize training and meetings, and was also important in spreading the ideology of PFI. Apart from this, he also used to raise funds and deliver it to other accused and members.
