NHAI Plans High-Speed Expressway to Boost Connectivity News24 –

Travel between Ayodhya and Varanasi will soon be made simpler and faster. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started working on a plan for a nearly 200-km-long high-speed access control expressway that will connect the two cities. The tender process has also been started to prepare the DPR (Detailed Project Report) for the project.

Former MP Lallu Singh said, “On completion of this project, the distance from Ayodhya to Kashi can be covered in just two hours.” He also said, “It will be connected to the Purvanchal Expressway, which will further strengthen the connectivity from Ayodhya to Delhi.”

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is running several important projects in Ayodhya. These include 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, Ram-Janaki Marg (Ayodhya to Janakpur), Ayodhya-Sultanpur and Ayodhya-Jagdishpur Marg, and Ram Van Gaman Marg. Apart from this, several overbridges and underpasses are being constructed for the convenience of passengers on the Lucknow Highway. At the same time, the beautification of Ayodhya bypass has also been done at a cost of Rs 55 crore.

Traffic pressure will be reduced

In view of the increasing traffic in the city, the ring road project is being taken forward rapidly. Along with this, the process of demarcation is going on till Pratapgarh in the first phase of Ayodhya-Prayagraj Greenfield Access Control 6-lane highway. On completion of all these projects, Ayodhya will emerge as an important road connectivity center of North India, which will promote religious tourism and will also give a new direction to trade and industry.
