IMD weather update – rain, thunderstorms to lash Himachal, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra; check forecast for Delhi News24 –


IMD weather update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall to continue over north-eastern states and Maharashtra for next 2-3 days. Conditions have become favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, and Gujarat during next 2 days. The line of withdrawal of southwest monsoon currently passes through Sri Ganganagar, Nagaur, Jodhpur, and Barmer.

Upper air cyclonic circulation over regions like central Assam, east Bihar, and southeast Bay of Bengal are set to influence weather systems in northeastern, central and south peninsular states. Here’s detailed weather forecast for Tuesday, September 16:

Northeast India
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm has been predicted for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Tuesday.
South Peninsular India
The IMD has forecast Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and gusty winds over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka until September 17. Strong surface winds is very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during next 5 days.
East & Central India
Light to moderate rain will lash West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Bihar on September 16.
West India
Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra will receive rainfall on Tuesday.
Northwest India
The IMD has predicted moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and East Uttar Pradesh today.

IMD weather update: check forecast for Delhi

The weather in the national capital will remain partly cloudy during next seven days. There has been no large change in maximum temperature and minimum temperatures in past 24 hours over Delhi. The minimum and maximum temperature are currently in the range of 24-26°C and 34-36°C respectively.

For Tuesday, September 16, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky with maximum temperature in the range of 34-36 degree Celsius. There is no specific weather warning for Delhi.
