Uttarakhand landslide- As Uttarakhand continues to face nature’s wrath in the form of torrential rains, cloudbursts, landslides, and flash-floods, BJP MP Anil Baluni on Thursday shared a terrifying video capturing the devastation. The video features a landslide occurring in one of the disaster affected areas of the state, recorded on Wednesday evening by the MP himself. Sharing the video, Baluni wrote that cloudburst and landslides this year have caused such severe damage to the state that it will take a long time to heal and redevelop.
In a post shared on X, the BJP MP from Garhwal constituency praised the NDRF-SDRF personnel, the administration, and the workers for their efforts in challenging circumstances. He appreciated their dedication at a time when Uttarakhand is grappling with a disaster and prayed for everyone’s safety. The video shows him stopping when he saw a landslide on the way. He got out of his car and was urging others to follow him when the landslide struck the mountain with such force that even Baluni panicked and ran back.

“The severe cloudburst and landslides in Uttarakhand this year have left such deep wounds that it will take a long time to heal them. I am sharing with you all a terrifying scene of a landslide in the disaster-affected area from yesterday evening…In this hour of disaster, I appreciate the dedication of all the officials, NDRF-SDRF personnel, administration, and the workers clearing debris from the roads even in challenging circumstances,” he wrote on X.
The accident occurred on the Badrinath National Highway, when Baluni was returning to Rishikesh after visiting the disaster-hit areas of Chamoli and Rudraprayag.
