IMD weather update- Heavy rain in Bihar and Uttarakhand, monsoon withdrawal begins in UP; check forecast News24 –
IMD weather update- India is expected to experience varied weather conditions across states on Friday, September 19, under the influence of multiple weather systems. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rain and thunderstorms in parts of East, Central, and Northeast India, while isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall may impact areas in the Himalayan belt, South India, and parts of the West Coast.
An upper air cyclonic circulation currently lies over east Bihar, south Uttar Pradesh, south interior Karnataka. According to the IMD, conditions are likely to become favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of northwest India and some parts of central India during second half of this week.

Under the influence of these systems, the IMD’s weather bulletin has following forecast for different states on Friday, September 19:
East and Central India
In eastern and central region, the IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm over West Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar on Friday. Thunderstorm and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) are likely over East India during next 5-6 days.
Northwest India
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm will lash Uttarakhand today.
Northeast India
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Friday.
South Peninsular India
Light to moderate rain has been predicted over Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Karnataka, Tamil Nadu today. Strong surface winds are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during most days of the week.
West India
The IMD has forecast light rainfall over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Goa on September 19.
IMD weather update: Check forecast for Delhi
For Delhi, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of light to light rain at a few places with moderate rain at isolated places. The maximum temperature will remain in the range of 33-35 degree Celsius.
Moreover, the IMD stated that neutral El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) conditions are currently prevailing over the equatorial Pacific region. Forecasts from the Monsoon Mission Climate Forecast System (MMCFS), along with other climate models, suggest that these neutral conditions are likely to persist throughout the monsoon season. However, the IMD added that there is an increased likelihood of La Nina conditions developing during the post monsoon season.
