Vote counting for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections is underway. The latest trend shows Aryan Maan of the RSS-backed ABVP currently leading over Jocelyn Nandita Chaudhary of the Congress-supported NSUI.
The voting turnout of the DUSU elections on Thursday was recorded at nearly 40 per cent. he polling was held in two shifts — from 8.30 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7.30 pm for day and evening classes respectively.
The Candidates
The NSUI has nominated Joslyn Nandita Choudhary, a postgraduate student of Buddhist Studies, for the president’s post. The ABVP has nominated Aryan Maan, a student of Library Science. The SFI-AISA alliance has nominated Anjali, a student of Indraprastha College for Women, as their presidential candidate.
