To mark its 93rd Foundation Day on Wednesday, October 8, the Indian Air Force has planned a grand parade at Hindon Air Force Station. To facilitate traffic during the event, the Ghaziabad Traffic Police department has announced a route diversion plan, beginning at 6 am until the programme finishes.
The diversion is being done to allow the movement of dignitaries who will be attending. These dignitaries include Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, and Navy Chief Dinesh Kumar Tripathi.
As part of the diversion program, heavy commercial vehicles will not be allowed in various parts. The restrictions are:
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from ALT Chowk to Rotary Chowk
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from Hindon River Metro Station to Rotary Chowk
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from Rotary Chowk to Nagdwar
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from Karhera Cut GT Road to Hindon Air Force Chowk
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from Mohan Nagar to Hindon Air Force Chowk
- Heavy Commercial Vehicles are not allowed from Karan Gate Chowk to Hindon Air Force Chowk
Alternative Routes Ahead of Ghaziabad Traffic Advice on 08 October
According to Traffic ACP Sachchidanand, alternate routes will be in place for commuters due to the diversion. If any assistance is required, individuals may contact the Traffic Control Room at 9643322904 or, if needed, Traffic Inspector Pancham Manoj Kumar Singh at 8130674912. You can also find out information about the traffic police from their social media handles. It is recommended that commuters plan their route in advance of any updates and before leaving home.
