The Gujarat cabinet was expanded today, with the swearing-in ceremony taking place at 12:30 pm at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office and secrecy to the ministers. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel finalized the names of the new ministers this morning and submitted the list to Governor Acharya Devvrat. Harsh Sanghavi has been sworn in as Gujarat’s deputy chief minister.
The new Gujarat cabinet maintains balance across all regions of the state. Nine ministers have been appointed from the Saurashtra and Kutch regions. Six MLAs from Central Gujarat, five from South Gujarat, and four from North Gujarat have been appointed ministers, while Darshan Vaghela from Ahmedabad has been appointed.
