UP Woman Slits Wrist at Police Station After Affair with Nephew Ends News24 –


In a shocking incident, a woman slit her wrist inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur after her nephew ended their relationship.

According to a report published by NDTV, the woman is married to Lalit Mishra, and the couple has two sons. She met her husband’s nephew, Alok, who is 15 years younger than her, and developed a romantic relationship during his stay with the family.

Upon learning about their relationship, Lalit sent Alok away. However, the woman also left her family and moved to Bareilly, where Alok was living. The two lived together for seven months.

Later, a disagreement arose between the woman and Alok, following which he left Bareilly and returned to his village in Sitapur.

She also returned to the village. Later, both were summoned to the police station to resolve the matter. Alok stated that he did not want to continue their relationship. After hearing this, the woman slit her wrists with a blade. She was admitted to a hospital, where her condition is said to be critical.

In a separate incident, Haryana Police constable Deepak died in a road accident in Panchkula around 11 pm on October 18, while on duty. Constable Deepak was posted at the drink and drive checkpoint near the Chandi Mandir toll plaza when a speeding truck broke through a barricade and crushed him, while the driver fled the scene.

However, the accused truck driver was arrested near ITBP Bhanu as police quickly took charge of the situation. He has been subjected to a drug test.

A case has been registered against him under Section 105 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway.

Constable Deepak was posted at the Surjanpur Traffic Police Station in Panchkula and was performing his duties with utmost devotion and dedication. The Haryana Police family has expressed profound grief over this incident. He was a resident of Jind district. His family consists of his parents, wife, and two children. His son is 10 months old, and his daughter is 6 years old. Late Deepak’s last rites will be performed with full state honours today in his native village, Pillukheda, Jind district, official release said.
