In a shocking incident, an elderly man attacked his wife with a machete on a busy road in the Vijayapura district of Karnataka. A deeply disturbing video has gone viral on social media, showing the man, wearing a cap, holding a machete in one hand and a plastic bag in the other attacking his wife.
The incident has been reported from Sindagi town near Anand Talkies in Vijayapura. Police stated that the accused, 60-year-old, Yamanappa Madar attacked his wife Anusuya Madar, 50, following an argument between them. In the video, the man can be seen chasing the woman and repeatedly attacking her with the sharp object. The video further shows the woman in saree falling on the road, but the man continues to hit her.
Meanwhile, the video captured from another angle, shows the accused walking away after he is done hitting the woman. Another man then hits him with a wooden log, making him collapse on the road. Both the husband and wife were shifted to Sindagi Taluk Hospital for treatment and are said to be in stable condition, NDTV reported.
Another Incident
In other incident reported from Uttar Pradesh, a man chopped off his partner’s private parts after learning that he had raped his six-year-old daughter. The incident that occurred on Tuesday, was reported from Deoria district. The 32-year-old man reportedly cut off his partner’s genitals and then died by suicide.
According to Police, the man, a performer in a local orchestra group, had been living separately from his wife. Following their separation, he rented a small room, which he shared with a friend, 35-year-old Rambabu Yadav. The two men developed a close personal relationship over time. Their living arrangement came under attention after an allegation that Yadav had raped the man’s six-year-old daughter.
After learning of the assault, the man confronted Yadav and a violent altercation took place. Police stated the enraged father cut off his partner’s private parts. The victim (Yadav) was taken to Deoria Medical College, from where he was referred to a hospital in Gorakhpur for further treatment. He is currently under police supervision.
