Business tycoon Anand Mahindra showered praise on Arunachal Pradesh’s first woman IPS officer, Tenzin Yangki.
Yangki hails from Tawang and became the first woman from the state to achieve the feat of joining the Indian Police Service. She received congratulatory messages from Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and several others online.

Yangki served in the Arunachal Pradesh state government after clearing the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) exam in 2017. She gained valuable experience while working in the state government, which encouraged her to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE).
She finally cleared the UPSC 2022 exam with an All India Rank (AIR) of 545, becoming the first woman IPS officer from the state.
Yangki’s father, Thupten Tempa, was an IAS officer and state minister, while her mother, Jigmi Choden, is a retired secretary from the state government.
