PM Modi Slams Opposition for Insulting Chhathi Maiyya for Votes, Says Govt Trying to Get UNESCO Heritage Tag News24 –


Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (October 30, 2025) kicked off his first public rally after Chhath Puja. While addressing the crowd in Muzaffarpur, PM Modi slammed opposition parties for insulting Chhathi Maiya for votes. “Congress and RJD are insulting Chhathi Maiyya. Can anyone insult Chhathi Maiyya for votes in the election? Will the people of Bihar and the country tolerate this?” he said.

The Prime Minister, while interacting with the people ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, said, “This is my first public rally after the Chhath Puja… Our government is trying to secure UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage status for the Chhath Mahaparva…”

Addressing the Bihar’s Muzaffarpur rally, PM Modi highlighted that the GST Bachat Utsav, asserting it is helping families save money. “When there is good governance, everyone prospers, but when there is jungle raj, everyone suffocates. These days, the entire Bihar is celebrating the GST Bachat Utsav, which is helping every family save money. Some are buying new bikes, some new scooters… Last year, around September and October, 50,000 motorcycles were sold in Bihar. This year, during the GST Bachat Utsav, in September and October, around 1.5 lakh motorcycles have been sold in Bihar,” he said.

Meanwhile, he assured that the youth of Bihar will not relocate and be employed in the state itself. ‘Bihar ka bete, beti ab palaayan nahi karega, Bihar mein hi kaam karega, Bihar mein hi naam karega’… NDA is committed to ensuring that Bihar has ample opportunities for education, employment, healthcare, and irrigation.”

“Yaha ki litchi jitni meethi hoti hai, utni hi meethi hai boli bhi hai… I can see a large number of youth and women have gathered here… ‘Phir ek baar NDA sarkaar,” PM Modi added.
