Tejashwi Yadav slams Nitish Kumar, calls him a ‘Puppet’, questions PM Modi’s silence on Mokama incident News24 –

News24 Exclusive: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, political tensions are heating up in Bihar. While the NDA government is striving to retain power for the fifth time, the opposition is working tirelessly to end a 20-year drought and return to power. Meanwhile, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav spoke exclusively with News24 Editor-in-Chief Anurradha Prasad on Saturday. He launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the conversation.

Tejashwi criticised the NDA government on issues such as development, law and order, education, employment, and healthcare in Bihar. During the interview, he also addressed the allegations levelled against him by his opponents that he failed in the ninth grade. In response, he said that while many leaders hide their degrees, at least Tejashwi Yadav does not.

Tejashwi on Chirag Paswan

When asked if the Grand Alliance were to lose some seats after the vote count, would he seek party support from the JDU or LJP President Chirag Paswan? Tejashwi replied that whenever he meets Chirag Paswan at the airport, he tells him the same thing: “Get married, brother. We already have two children, so you should get married too.” While Tejashwi did not explicitly state whether he would seek support from Paswan or Kumar, he did claim that the Grand Alliance is forming a government in Bihar with an absolute majority, and therefore, he won’t need anyone’s support.

Tejashwi also made a strong statement about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him a puppet. He said that despite being the Chief Minister, Kumar did not utter a single word during the release of the NDA manifesto. Referring to Kumar’s video address, Tejashwi claimed that it was orchestrated by someone else, adding that he avoids speaking without preparation to prevent distorting the message. He further alleged that Kumar does not give interviews to anyone.

During the conversation, Tejashwi discussed several other issues, including the recent Mokama incident. He criticised PM Modi for not speaking anything on the Mokama incident. “PM Narendra Modi comes to Bihar and talks about 20 years ago, but he does not discuss what happened in Makoma during the recent NDA government,” Tejashwi stated.
