While regional festivals led to school closures in several states, Cyclone Montha forced shutdowns in parts of southern India, especially Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, with Odisha also declaring a holiday due to cyclone alerts. Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, one district has announced school holidays from November 3 to 6 for the Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan Mela. Here’s a look at the state-wise situation and updates from rain-affected areas on school reopening.

There will be no statewide holiday, but district-wise updates will be shared on the official school website. School authorities will also inform parents through WhatsApp groups, so parents are advised to regularly check both the school portal and WhatsApp for the latest updates.
