Pregnant woman loses unborn child after being kicked during dispute over pet dog in Unnao district News24 –

A dispute erupted between two families after one family mercilessly beat another’s dog in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao. In a fit of rage, the dog owner’s son allegedly hit a pregnant woman in the stomach, leading to her miscarriage.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav directed district president Rajesh Yadav to meet the woman’s family and offer all possible assistance. Police have registered a case against the dog owner’s son.

The incident took place in Unnao’s Samadha village. The brawl broke out between the two families after one family’s dog chased a woman from the other family. In an attempt to ward off the dog, the woman drove it away with a stick.

After learning about the incident, the dog owner’s son went to the neighbour’s house and had a clash with them. He allegedly hit the in the stomach of the woman’s sister, causing her to lose her unborn child.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav directed district president Rajesh Yadav to visit the victim’s house. Rajesh Yadav handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the victim.

Following a complaint from the victim’s family, the police registered a case and launched a probe into the matter.
