Jewar International Airport News Updates: The Noida International Airport in Jewar will have improved connection with Delhi-NCR, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura, Meerut, and Haryana by road, rail, and bus routes.
Jewar Airport: Rail Connectivity
The Delhi–Jewar Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been authorized by the state government in terms of rail connection. In the meantime, the Ministry of Railways is getting ready to link the airport with the Chola–Rundhi rail line, which will enable the transportation of both passengers and freight. To further integrate the airport with India’s expanding high-speed network, a new Jewar station has been added to the proposed Delhi–Varanasi High-Speed Rail track.
Jewar Airport: Road Connectivity
The airport will be connected to neighboring cities and metro networks for public transportation thanks to a contract with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). Additionally, interstate bus services are being developed in collaboration with Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Uttarakhand to facilitate easy last-mile connectivity for both workers and passengers.
The Eastern Peripheral Expressway, which will offer easy access to Ghaziabad, Meerut, Palwal, and Sonipat, is also being built quickly. The development of the North and East access roads for industrial and cargo traffic is almost complete. In Sector 28, however, a 60-meter-wide service road has been finished to connect the airport to the Yamuna Expressway, improving logistics and local connectivity.
Network of Multiple Modes of Transportation
In order to establish the airport as a major regional and national aviation center, the multi-modal transport network seeks to guarantee quick, secure, and sustainable access for travelers, tourists, and businesses. The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway (Ballabhgarh Link) will enhance access from Haryana and western India, and the airport has direct access to the Yamuna Expressway.
Once operational, the improved connection would make Noida International Airport a crucial entry point for northern India, bolstering regional trade, tourism, and industrial development while advancing the government’s goal of integrated, sustainable mobility.
