On the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a series of roadshows and public meetings, generating a strong wave of support for NDA candidates. During his addresses, CM Yogi launched a sharp attack on the opposition, asserting that this election is about propelling Bihar toward progress and eradicating the darkness of crime and corruption.
He remarked, “Those who once consumed fodder meant for animals will, if given another chance, devour the rations of the poor.” Recalling the lawlessness of the past, he said, “From 1990 to 2005, criminals ruled, officials trembled, and the people fled. Today, Bihar has moved beyond the dim light of lanterns and stepped into the bright light of development.”
Earlier in the day, a massive crowd gathered in Darbhanga for CM Yogi’s grand roadshow, which started from Lohia Chowk and concluded at Machhli Chowk. The atmosphere was electric as people lined the streets and rooftops, chanting slogans like “Yogi-Yogi,” “Jai Shri Ram,” “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” “Mithila Dham ki Jai,” “Maiya Janaki ki Jai,” and “Har Har Mahadev.” The crowd’s enthusiasm reflected their deep admiration and excitement at seeing and greeting Chief Minister Adityanath.
From there, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Samastipur and addressed a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Rajesh Kumar Singh from the Mohiuddinnagar Assembly constituency. Launching a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, CM Yogi said, “Those who looted the rights of the poor and even usurped animal fodder can never work for Bihar’s welfare.”
He accused them of turning Bihar into a land of jungle raj, kidnapping, and riots, saying they have pushed the state into an identity crisis and now openly side with the mafia.
Calling the opposition “betrayers of faith,” CM Yogi said, “Congress once filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court claiming that Lord Ram never existed; RJD halted the Ram Rath Yatra; and the Samajwadi Party opened fire on Ram devotees. These are the same people who question the existence of Lord Ram and Goddess Janaki, and today, the Congress prince even dares to question Chhath Maiya.”
Taking a jibe at the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said, “Those whom the people of Uttar Pradesh have repeatedly rejected are now coming to Bihar and claiming that we change names. Let me make it clear, we don’t change names, we restore pride. Through our work, we have re-established Uttar Pradesh’s identity across the world.”
Appealing to the public, CM Yogi said, “Move forward toward transforming Mohiuddinnagar into Mohan Nagar. Work with a spirit that eliminates all remnants of slavery. That is why we renamed Faizabad as Ayodhya and Allahabad as Prayagraj, to restore our heritage and pride.”
Addressing another rally in Lakhisarai in support of NDA candidate and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, CM Yogi said that this election is a choice between good governance and jungle raj. “Wherever the NDA is in power, there is development and order. But jungle raj and hooliganism are the political trademarks of RJD and Congress. Those who once looted Bihar now wish to bring back the same chaos, with their political heirs turning into hereditary mafias,” he said.
Highlighting the progress achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, CM Yogi said that Bihar has witnessed remarkable growth in the last two decades in roads, railways, airports, and waterways. “Today, Bihar’s products from makhana to vegetables are making their mark in global markets. Farmers and traders are becoming self-reliant,” he said.
Later, addressing a massive public gathering in the Baikunthpur Assembly constituency of Gopalganj district, organised in support of BJP candidate Mithilesh Tiwari, CM Yogi delivered a fiery speech targeting the RJD, Congress, and Samajwadi Party. “Remember, those who once ate the fodder of animals will not hesitate to eat the ration of the poor if given another chance,” he warned.
CM Yogi said that under RJD-Congress rule, Bihar became synonymous with caste violence, crime, and kidnapping. “From 1990 to 2005, criminals ruled, officials were scared, and the public fled. Yet, Bihar is the land that gave India Lord Buddha, Mahavira, and Jayaprakash Narayan. Those who pushed this sacred land into the ‘lantern era’ are now dreaming of returning to power,” he remarked.
CM Yogi said, “These parties opened fire on Ram devotees, opposed the Ram temple, and continue to deceive the people. Today, the grand Ram temple stands in Ayodhya, and the temple of Maa Janaki in Sitamarhi stands as a symbol of India’s cultural unity.”
Urging people to remain united, CM Yogi said that the foundation of development laid by the NDA over the past two decades must continue. “Do you want to see those dark days of crime, anarchy, and kidnapping again?” he asked. The crowd responded with a resounding “No.” CM Yogi concluded, “This election is about taking Bihar forward and eradicating the darkness of crime and corruption forever. The people of Bihar have always stood with truth and this time too, they will create history with a massive NDA victory.”
